~CHEEVERS FAMILY~

The Cheevers crew has been a busy bunch. The school year came to an end and softball kept on playing. Both girls made it to the district tourney and Glori's team made it to State. We were not done with softball this year until mid July..... then our little league Junior boys team made it to state so we packed up and went to Yakima for the week to watch them play. It was the BEST vacation. Stayed in a motel... was either sitting by the pool or watching the boys play baseball. No demands, nothing to clean up, out to eat, and the kids in the pool 24-7. It was such a nice relaxing time... however all that pool time was getting to Glori. She didn't have any ear plugs and got an another ear infection. The poor girl was running a high 103 temp and just was miserable. She had one earlier in June too... right around her birthday. She just can't get away from these ear infections even with tubes. But with meds she got better and we had a great time!! I then took some time off work and spent at home with the family. It was a much needed break. Home daycare is the ideal job for being home with my family and girls, but it can get quite closerphobic here. Plus I can't leave on a lunch break or take a 10 minute coffee break... so it is 10 hours with kiddos under 5 and me... all day every day. The break helped a TON. I have now ordered a lesson plan helper that has each day already planned and the activity right in the bag. No muss no fuss... ready to go. I'm soooo glad. I would spend hours planning and shopping for all the supplies and age appropriate activities. Now I have my assistant. LOL Joey is out of the Air Force now. He was originally wanting to go full time guard, but the position he applied for he was not high enough ranked. So he went in the guard as a traditional guardsman. One weekend a month, and that gets us all our health benefits!!! He has applied at a survival school off base and it has been a LOOOOOONG process to get through. He on a contingent hire as long as he passes all the tests... drugs, psych, personal history, etc. And he passed them all...so we are just waiting for the call to go to work!!!! We haven't really been doing a lot this summer but that has been GREAT!!! The kids are back to school next week and we are all ready for a little routine again. Joey has started refing flag football and in a couple weeks will start refing high school football. Back to our busy busy fall schedule~ I hope you all are doing fabulous. I know it has beena while since I've written and kept in touch. Been keeping to myself a little recently, but hoping everyone is doing great and would love to hear from you~

We had a busy and exciting summer also. Katrina came down and spent about 10 days with us while Jay was gone to AT. Then we had company come in from Califronia on Saturday the 25th and the arrival of Kelsey's new baby boy Samuel Vaden Coltress on July 27th. He weighted 6 lb and 13 oz and a whopping 19 1/2 inches long. He is just beautiful with lots of long black hair and big brown eyes. He is a really good baby and has a wonderful Dad. Oliver got to stay with us for 3 weeks and we miss him. He had to go back to LA to work and finish up some things, but we believe he will move to Kansas soon, he is crazy about his son and I think Samuel's mom. Kimi got a new flip phone with a camera like she wanted and boy does she put that camera to use, she is always taking pictures and sending out text messages. She sends Oliver several each day, and bless his heart he replies back to her, all three of Jesi's kids were crazy about him, and cried when he left. Ok some several of us may have cried when he left also.
